Lordy, I knew I had a lot to catch up on, but I really hadn’t realised I hadn’t updated this since March. There’s a fair amount to tell, but I’m going to break it up into delightfully ample chunks.
First off, news of Dave. Bear with me a second whilst I laugh very hard. So Dave started his new job. On his 2nd day in new job, Dave lost half a million pounds. Oh yes. Andnot the kind of losing here you suddenly find it again and everything turns out all right in the end. He cost the bank 500k because he’s a wiener. Annoyingly, he kept his job – albeit after an almighty shoeing from Jessica – but I still find it hilarious. Even more so because he lost it making a mistake doing something that my team can do in their sleep. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSER. So that’s Dave. I saw him randomly the other day for only the 2ndtime this year but just walked straight past him. *shudder* Still GUTTED that he’s got another girlfriend andstill torture myself with images of him finding a happiness that he’s never dared to dream of but am very much better than I was. They’ll probably get married, I’ll probably be devastated when I find out but the signs are that I’ll be ok in the long run. Can honestly say that there isn’t a single thing about him that I miss, andeven mid-torturing when I try to imagine what The Happy Couple may be doing on any given weekend, I remember that my life has improved immeasurably since I stopped having to go along with his tedious plans. Wow – don’t I sound chipper ;o)
The only fly in the ointment is that they’re planning an almighty desk move here which will involve his team moving down to my floor. This is less than thrilling to me. But even then, my main focus is the crippling fear that I will end up moving far away from TC – more of whom later. So yes, July wll bring Dave even closer to my orbit but hopefully it’ll mean I’ll just be able to monitor his receding hairline more effectively.
Anyway, enough about him, more about meeeeeeeeee.
